Welcome to my new home!

I’ve spent the past week building a personal site. My hope is that it’ll be an outlet to share the things I’m passionate about — on my own terms. Social media can be noisy, and the older I get, the more I appreciate having a space that’s entirely mine.

It feels like a new beginning. The last time I had a blog was 14 years ago, in 2012 — and I’ve even resurrected a few old posts from back then, embarrassing as they may be. A lot has changed since.

Technical

I built the site with Nuxt v4 + Nuxt Content v3. It’s been a smooth experience — familiar, since I’ve been using Nuxt extensively at work over the past three years. For styling, I chose Tailwind because it pairs well with component-based systems, letting me create a unique design while staying constrained.

Most of my pages are written in Markdown thanks to Nuxt Content. I had considered a full CMS like WordPress, but that felt overkill. A static site keeps things simple, reduces maintenance, and eliminates the need for a database.

For hosting, I went with Vercel for its simplicity. A few clicks and the site was live. I’ve used Netlify in the past, which would have worked just as well.

I’m excited to use this space to write about what I’m passionate about — technical projects, personal experiences, and anything else that catches my interest. Here’s to the next chapter. 🥂
